SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women's soccer coach
Hideki Nakada has officially locked in the 20 matches that will make up his program's 2025 schedule and Utah's second season in the Big 12 will include 10 conference clashes and 11 matches on the familiar turf of Ute Field.
The Utes will open their new season with two road games, starting with a fixture against Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash. on Aug. 14 and they'll quickly follow that with a contest at Utah Valley in Orem on Aug. 18.
Fans will have their first chance to see the Utes on their home field on Aug. 21, when the Westminster Griffins will come to Ute Field and Utah's next stop after their home opener will be Logan, Utah to play Utah State on the 28th.
Utah's second home match of the season with pit them against North Carolina State on Aug. 31. After visiting Seattle for a Sept. 4 clash with the Washington Huskies, Nakada's crew will start a stretch of three straight home matches by entertaining the LSU Tigers on Sept. 7. Utah Tech and Oregon State round out the homestand on Sept. 11 and Sept. 14, respectively.
The first conference matchup on the docket will take Utah to Fort Worth, where they'll visit the TCU Horned Frogs. It will be the tenth match against this opponent in program history, but only the second meeting as Big 12 conference rivals. The Utes then head home to host two new opponents, starting with the Cincinnati Bearcats on Sept. 24 and followed by the West Virginia Mountaineers on Sept. 27.
October begins with the fourth new opponent on the slate, the UCF Knights, who Utah will tangle with on Oct. 2 in Orlando, Fla. From there, the Utes will make their way west, first taking on the Houston Cougars on Oct. 5, then traveling to Arizona for a match on the 10th.
The Colorado Buffaloes meet Utah back at Ute Field for an Oct. 16 meeting, before the Utes return to the Lone Star State to play Baylor on Oct. 19. Rounding out the regular season, Utah will play host to Arizona State on Oct. 23, Kansas on Oct. 26 and long-time rival, BYU on the 30th.
The 2025 Big 12 Soccer Championship will take place on two different Big 12 campuses, with the Nov. 3 and 5th quarterfinals and semifinals appearing on TCU's Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium and the Nov. 8 conference title match at Baylor's Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.
