FROM THE BLOCK
The Women of Utah will be making some history when they step foot on the track Thursday evening in both events. McKaylie Caesar and Morgan Jensen will become Utah's first pair to compete in the 10k at NCAA Championships. Additionally, Caesar and Morgan will just be the fourth and fifth Utes ever to compete in the 10k at championships – joining Jill Molen (1982), Poppy Tank (2021) and Emily Venters (2023).
Â
Meanwhile, the 4x100m relay team will have advanced to the championships for the first time in program history. Of the four on the relay team, Emily Martin and Bailey Kealamakia were a part of the first-ever relay team and/or 4x4x00m relay team to ever qualify for the championships at Utah just last season. Chloe Shewell will once again serve as an alternate for the Utes at the championships – this time in the 4x100m relay. Â
Â
SETTING THE SCENE
The Women of Utah will kick things off on the first day of competition with the 4x100m relay team taking the track for their semifinal race starting at 5:05 p.m. (MDT) / 4:05 p.m. (PDT) local on ESPN. The 10k duo of McKaylie Caesar and Morgan Jensen will close out the day when they toe the line at 7:56 p.m. (MDT) / 6:56 p.m. (PDT) local in their final.
Â
Should the relay team advance (top 2 teams in each heat + next 3 best times) to the finals, it'll return to Hayward Field on Saturday, June 14, at 7:02 p.m. (MDT) / 6:02 p.m. (PDT) local for the 4x100m relay finals on ESPN2.

NOWAKOWSKA SETTLING IN BACK HOME
Utah sophomore Katarzyna Nowakowska, who raced in just the Big 12 Conference Championships this spring due to injury, captured the 1500m crown in the U20 Warsaw Open Championships with a PR time of 4:19.12. The Polish native will once again hit the track this weekend as she competes in the Polish U23 5000m Championships before toeing the line at the Polish U23 Championships (July 4-5).
