FROM THE BLOCK
The Women of Utah will send 15 competitors to this year's NCAA West Regionals, marking just the third in program history the Utes have had double-digit qualifiers. Of the 15,
Chelsea Amoah,
McKaylie Caesar,
Sona Kourilova,
Anna Peters,
Bri Rinn and
Millie Wilcox will be competing in their first-career regional meet.
Bailey Kealamakia, who has competed on the relay teams in previous years, will make her first appearance at the regional as an individual.
Â
Annie Ivins and
Megan Rose will be making their regional debut as part of the 4x400m and 4x100m relay teams, respectively, while
Rachel Bair and
Lela Divinity travel to their first-ever regional meeting serving as alternates for the relay squads. Senior
Chloe Shewell will also serve as an alternate for the second-straight year.
Â
Erin Vringer became the 14th Ute in program history to qualify for an NCAA West Regional individual event three-straight years or three years overall, earning a spot in the 1500m run the last three seasons. Meanwhile,
Emily Martin joins
Josefine Eriksen as the only other Ute in program history to be a part of three-straight or three NCAA West Regional qualifying relay team.
Â
Of those competing, Vringer is Utah's lone individual to compete in two different events while Kealamakia, E. Martin and Amoah will triple between their individual event and running on both relays.
Â
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
The 2025 season will serve as the first-time in program history the 4x100m relay team has qualified for regionals and also the first time both relay teams have qualified for regionals. In addition, this is just the fifth time the 4x400m relay team has qualified for regionals (2009, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025).
Â
BIG 12 RECAP
The Women of Utah wrapped up their first-ever Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships with 33 points in total for 11th-place while seven individuals earned medals on top of both relay teams.
