Los Angeles, Calif.— The University of Utah men's tennis team wrapped up their fall slate this past weekend at the Loyola Marymount University Invitational. Utah competed against LMU, Denver and UC Irvine in a round-robin style bracket.
On the first day of the LMU Invite, Utah battled against UC Irvine in singles action and LMU in doubles play.
In singles action,
Dante Teramo picked up a 5-7, 7-6(4), 7-5 win against Sohrob Amiryavari.
Emmett Potter defeated Rui Ning Haung, where he picked up 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(4) victory.
Max Relic battled with Gregory Gamel, where Relic won the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
AJ Deem picked up a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Alexander Guajardo.
In doubles action, Utah faced LMU, Potter and Relic went on to pick up a 7-6 win over Cesar Cruz and Alex Padro.
The third day of the tournament, the Utes battled against Denver and UCI.
In singles action, Utah faced off against Denver, Teramo picked a 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-1 win over Theo Coats and Potter battled against Raffaello Papajcik, where Potter won in straight sets, 7-6, 6-3.
In doubles play, Potter and Teramo paired together and defeated UC Irvine's Amiryavari and Guajardo, 6-2.

UP NEXT
The Utes will kick off their spring slate at Stanford on Jan. 23 and a double header against Rice and Oregon in Palo Alto, Calif. on Jan. 24. The Utes will return home to play Idaho State on Jan. 30 in the George S. Eccles Tennis Center.
