Alex Jensen Era will officially tip-off on Monday, Nov. 3, inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center when the Utah men's basketball team takes the court against San Jose State in the 2025-26 season and home-opener beginning at 7 p.m. (MDT).

Chris Sylvester will have the call for fans while former Rick Majerus assistant coach Joe Cravens serves as the analyst in the ESPN+ broadcast as the Runnin' Utes and Spartans square off for the first time since 1999.

PARKING INFO

Fans can park for FREE at the west parking lot at Rice Eccles Stadium and take TRAX up to the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Fans can also park in in the Guardsman Parking Lot for FREE and ride the Runnin' Ute Express Shuttle to the arena. Fans can also park for FREE in parking lots No. 32, 39 and 46 and ride the Runnin' Utes Express Shuttle.

FIRST TIME AT THE HELM
First year head coaches in the history of Utah basketball have gone 10-6 all-time in their debut with the Runnin' Utes – including a 10-3 mark when those debuts have been at home. Meanwhile, Runnin' Ute head coaches that have made their debuts inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center have gone 8-0*.

AGAINST THE SPARTANS
Utah is 13-2 all-time against San Jose State and 11-1 when those games have been played in Salt Lake City – including a 7-1 mark inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Meanwhile, first-year head coach
Alex Jensen was 2-0 against the Spartan as a player during the 1998-99 season. The Utes defeated SJSU 70-54 in SLC before capturing the 71-49 victory. Utah would go on to win 22-consecutive games that year before losing to Miami (OH) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to the Spartans coming to town, former Utah assistant coach Jeff Strohm will also make his return to the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Strohm served on Rick Majerus' staff from 1997-2002 and was a part of multiple NCAA Tournament appearances – including the run to the title game in 1998.

First-year head coach
Alex Jensen played in arguably the "Golden Era" of Runnin' Utes basketball, helping the team amass a record of 109-24 during his time in uniform – including an NCAA Runner-Up finish in 1998. Utah earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament all four years he was a player – including a six-year stretch that started his freshman year (1994-95). Additionally, Jensen never lost a single home game during his time as a player on the Hill.

Utah will get a couple extra days before its next game on Saturday, Nov. 8, when it welcomes in Weber State for a 5 p.m. (MDT) match-up. Chris Sylvester and former Weber State head coach Joe Cravens will once again have the call on ESPN+ as the Runnin' Utes and Wildcats square off for the 39th time in program history and 21st time inside Jon M. Huntsman Center. Cravens, who was a longtime assistant at Utah, spent seven seasons at the helm at Weber State compiling a 116-88 (.569) record there and 170-141 overall record as a head coach – including a 12-12 mark during the 1989-90 season when Rick Majerus took a leave of absence with the Utes.Â

The six-game homestand continues for the Utes, who will have a short turnaround following Saturday's game as they take on Holy Cross for just the third time ever beginning at 7 p.m. (MDT) on Monday, Nov. 10.
