SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah soccer program's
Kelly Bullock,
Devi Dudley,
Taliana Kaufusi,
Katie O'Kane,
Kasey Wardle and
Bella Woods were all named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, the CSC released Tuesday.
This is the second year Utah soccer has had six Utes recognized by the CSC, tallying a new record for the program.
Bullock is marking her second CSC All-District honor after she started 17 of the 18 games this season and payed all 90 minutes of nine matches. The Salt Lake City native achieved two goals and four assists this season, currently sitting top five on the roster in goals and points and top three in assists. Bullock's efforts this season earned her a place on the All-Big 12 Second-Team. The forward achieved all these accolades will keeping a 4.0 GPA in her double major of Kinesiology and Spanish.
The backbone of the defense, graduate student and midfielder Dudley was one of three Utes to start all 19 games this season, but was the only Ute to play all 90 minutes of 14 of those games. Accumulating more than 1,600 minutes, the American Fork, Utah native marked six shots and one assist this season. Dudley is currently completing her second undergraduate degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and holds a 3.66 GPA.
Taking charge on the offensive end, Kaufusi ended the season sitting atop the Utes' stats in points and goals. The forward earned ten goals this season, accomplishing this feat with two hattricks. The Salt Lake City native earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the week after completing her second hattrick of the season—making it clear why she was positioned as forward on the All-Big 12 Second Team. Kaufusi graduated from Utah in the summer of 2024 with a 3.534 GPA and is currently earning a certificate in Family, Community and Human Development.
Following close behind Kaufusi, O'Kane earned her own hattrick this season, the second of her career. One of the four Utes to start all 19 games, the Seattle native earned six goals, two of which were game-winning, and five assists this season. Accumulating 1,517 minutes of playing time, the forward marked six games with 90 minutes of playing time. This is the second year O'Kane received this award and she will be graduating this semester with a degree in Psychology and currently holds a 3.626 GPA.
In the net, Wardle guarded the box for the Utes in 16 games this season, accumulating 1,350 minutes of play. The Meridian, Idaho native tallied 50 saves this season, a career record for the junior and added six clean sheets to her career total. This is not the first time Wardle has been recognized for her academic achievements, she is a 2022 Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll recipient and was named on the 2023 CSC Academic All-District team. She is currently earning a bachelor's in Communications and maintains a 3.70 GPA.
Redshirt-freshman Woods made a name for herself on the pitch this season. After scoring the game-winning goal in Utah's season opener against Gonzaga, Woods was named the first Big 12 Freshman of the Week. The midfielder finished the season in the top five for goals, assists and points for the Utes and made an appearance in every match, earning 13 starts. Along with her successes in the net, the redshirt-freshman accomplished three helpers this season, one of which contributed to a 4-1 win over Arizona State. Although she is undeclared, Woods is holding a 3.94 GPA while completing her core classes.
