MOSCOW, Idaho – For the second time in as many meets,
Dee Denis set a new program record in the 60m dash to lead the way for the Utah track & field team as it closed out the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open Saturday evening inside the Kibbie-ASUI Activity Center.

Bailey Kealamakia and
Malia Overton opened up the day for Utah in the 60m dash prelims with Kealamakia running a PR time of 7.94 while Overton posted a mark of 8.00 flat. Then in the prelims, Utah swept the podium with Denis,
Emily Martin and
Maya LeBar going 1-2-3 to automatically earn a spot in the finals. Overton didn't qualify for the finals but was able to run a PR mark of 7.94 (7.938).

Then in the finals of the 60m dash, the Women of Utah nearly swept the podium once again but finished 1-2-4 led by Denis' program record breaking time of 7.38. Meanwhile, freshman
Emily Martin took second with a time of 7.52 – putting her second on the all-time list. LeBar was nearly edge out in the quest for a sweep with a run of 7.89 for fourth.

In the 60m hurdles, freshman
Harley Daniel won both her heat in the prelims and in the finals with a time of 8.68 – which saw the freshman move into fifth all-time at Utah. Denis took third with a PR run of 8.72, besting her time at the American East Championships last season and moved into sixth all-time with that mark.

Jasie York flashed her speed in the 600m run to take the crown with a time 1:34.57. Meanwhile, freshman
Millie Wilcox took third in just her second collegiate race with a mark of 1:35.18.
Bri Rinn made her collegiate debut on the track, taking third in her heat with York and Wilcox and fifth overall (1:35.54).
Ally Gomm was right behind Rinn with a time of 1:37.26 – which was good to win her heat.

The Women of Utah closed out the day winning the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:48.73 behind the legs of Daniel, Rinn, Wilcox and Martin. Meanwhile, the Utah squad of Kealamakia, LeBar, Davis and York took sixth.
