TOKYO – Utah track & field senior
Emily Martin (CAN) is joined by former teammates Josephine Eriksen (NOR) and Dinedye Denis (CIV) as the trio gets ready to represent their native countries on the world stage once again this weekend, this time in Tokyo, Japan, at the World Athletics Championships held inside Japan National Stadium.
Â
Eriksen, who has been a staple on the 4x400m relay team for Norway since her senior year at Utah, will be the first to take track on Saturday, Sept. 20. She'll be followed by Martin and Denis in the 4x100m relays. This is the second time Martin will represent Canada in the relays this calendar year while Denis will represent Côte d'Ivoire for the third time on the world stage in the past two years.
Â
Finals are slated for Sunday, Sept. 21, should any of their respective teams advance.
