STANFORD, Calif. – Utah senior golfer
Kyler Dunkle is tied for fifth after the second day of the NCAA Stanford Regional, shooting 4-under-par through the first two rounds (136).
Dunkle shot even through the front nine before birdieing four holes on the back nine to end the day 3-under-par (67). He is currently the top individual golfer at the meet, two strokes ahead among the golfers competing as individuals.
"Another good day for Kyler," head coach
Garrett Clegg said. "He got off to a really poor start with a double on the second hole then made six birdies from there. Today his putter was really good and at one point he one-putted seven consecutive greens. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be rough so it should be a major challenge for the field and make for a fun day!"
The regional concludes on Wednesday, May 15 with the third round. Dunkle tees off at 10:48 a.m. PT. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
