The Basics: The Utah women's basketball program remains at home this week as they take on the California Golden Bears and the Stanford Cardinal. The Utes get started with Cal on Friday, Jan. 25 for its annual
BLACK OUT game at 7 p.m. MT. Fans that wear black will receive free admission to the game.
How to Tune In: The game against California will air on the Pac-12 Mountain. Fans can also catch the game in action on the radio with Tyson Ewing calling the shots on ESPN 700.
The Opponent: The California Golden Bears enter the game 12-5 overall and 3-3 in Pac-12 play. After dropping three of their first four conference games (UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State), Cal is on a two-game winning streak with victories over Washington State and Washington. They are averaging 71.8 points per game and are led in scoring by Kristine Anigwe, who is averaging 22.7 points and 15.2 rebounds per game. Her 15.2 rebounds per game ranks first in the Pac-12 and first nationally while she is also tied for first in the nation in double-doubles with 17. Asha Thomas is California's second leading scorer, averaging 10.7 points while dishing out 3.5 assists per game.
Next Up: Utah will take on its second top-25 opponent of the season when they host No. 6 Stanford on Sunday, Jan. 27. The game will tip at 12 p.m. and will be streamed on UtahUtes.com.

Three Pointers:
• Utah jumped into the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2008 when they finished the season ranked No. 18 in the final poll.
• Utah's seven Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors is the second most by a program in a season and it is just the second time in Pac-12 history that a program has had three separate student-athletes win.
• The Utes are currently one of 10 teams with one or less losses this season, tying for fifth nationally and first in the Pac-12 in winning percentage (.944).
Last Time Out: The Utes came away with a regular season sweep against Colorado, winning its second game of the year against the Buffaloes, 78-59 to improve to 16-1 overall. Utah had four double-digit scorers in the game, led by senior
Megan Huff who had 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Kiana Moore added 15 points, two assists and three steals with
Andrea Torres putting up 14 points and a career-high seven rebounds.
Erika Bean added 11 points and six assists while
Dru Gylten had eight points, seven rebounds, eight assists and three blocks.
Utah vs. The Pac-12: The Utes are 110-149 against the current members of the Pac-12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12, Utah is 49-83 in conference play.
A History In Rankings: Utah entered the AP Top 25 poll this week at No. 21, the first time the Utes have been ranked since 2008 when they went 25-7 and 16-0 in the Mountain West Conference to finish at No. 18 in the final poll. The highest the Utes have been ranked in the AP Poll was No. 11 in 1998.
Hot Start: The Utes finished non-conference play 11-0 and was 12-0 heading into Utah's game against Arizona State. Sitting at 16-1, the Utes have tied for the best start in school history after going 16-1 in 1997-98 under Elaine Elliott. Utah's 12-0 streak was the second-best unbeaten streak to start a season as well.

Andrea Against The Buffs: Andrea Torres has scored in double-digits in four games this season with two coming against Colorado. She knocked down a career-high 18 points against the Buffaloes on Dec. 30 and followed it up with 14 points and a career-high seven rebounds against Colorado on Jan. 18.
A Fresh Percentage: In the last four games, the Utah freshmen have accounted for 43-percent of its point total.

Complete Game: Dru Gylten turned in one of her most balanced games of the season against Colorado from top to bottom. The Rapid City, S.D. native scored eight points, grabbed a career-high seven rebounds, dished out eight assists and finished with a career-best and team-high three blocks.
Point Production on the Rise: During the non-conference portion of the season,
Kiana Moore was only averaging 5.2 points,
Dru Gylten at 7.1 and
Andrea Torres at 3.2. Fast forward to the last six games and Moore is averaging 9.2, Gylten is averaging 8.5 and
Andrea Torres has jumped to 8.3 points per game.
Big Blocks: The Utes tied their season-high in blocks with eight against Colorado as five different players tallied at least one, led with by a career-high three from
Dru Gylten.
