LOS ANGELES - Utah Diving concluded competition at the UCLA Invitational this afternoon with a pair of top-10 finishes.
On the men's platform, Daniel Theriault took sixth after a preliminary score of 304.55 and Rylan Little garnered eighth after a score of 288.65 in the finals.
Clare Greenlow topped the women's results again with a top-20 finish in the one-meter dive and a finals score of 247.50.
Emma Ruchala narrowly missed the cut off with a score of 231.05 in the prelims and was followed by
Georgia Brookstein (212.55) and
Makenzie Caufield (201.40).
"Clare had a very consistent meet and it was great to see her start the second half of the season on such a high note," diving head coach
Richard Marschner said. "I think this will be a great meet to build on The tower event was up and down but I like the things Rylan and Daniel are doing. They are in a good spot to place well in the Pac-12."
Utah is home this upcoming weekend for the Deseret First Duel vs. BYU. Diving competition will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday evening and continue on Saturday, along with swimming action, at 11 a.m. The Ute swimmers will also host the College of Idaho on Friday at 4 p.m., prior to the diving meet vs. the Cougars.
