Swimming & diving in final road meet of conference season
Jordan Anderson won two events for the Utes, capturing the 200 fly (2:05.16) as well as the 500 free, touching in at 5:07.70.Â
Kat Wickham took first in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:33.79. Sarah Lott won the 200 free (1:52.51) and later took second in the 100 free (51.94). Also in the 100 free, Dorien Butter claimed the top spot touching in at 51.39. She took second in the 200 free (1:52.94).Â
 In the 50 free, Darby Wayner took second (24.07) and would then take first in the 100 fly (56.32).Â
In relay action, a team of Megan Kawaguchi, Mariah Gassaway, and Gillian St.John took first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:43.82. Kawaguchi also took second in the 100 back (57.74).Â
Cassidy Stein (1,000 free and 200 back), Mallori Allen (100 back and 200 back), Gassaway (100 breast), and Isabella Kearns (200 fly) all had top-five finishes in their respected events.Â
Scholarly Swimmers
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America selected Utah as a Scholar All-America Team. The Utah women had a 3.49 grade point average during the fall semester. This was the highest GPA recorded by the Utes since the CSCAA starting handing out team awards in 2010. This is also the 10th-straight semester the Utes have earned a team academic award.
