BOISE, Idaho – The Utah track and field team jumped out to a quick start at the Jackson's Invitational with strong performances including freshman
Ann Wingeleth placing first in the long jump, three Utes placing in the top-six in the 3000-meter run, and
Holly Stallman recording the fifth fastest time in history in the 60-meter dash preliminaries in Boise, Idaho on Friday.

"There was limited, but productive action today," head coach
Kyle Kepler said. "We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. We have to focus on our fundamentals and compete hard. Good times and big marks will come if we do those things."

Wingeleth cleared a mark of 19 feet, .75 inches to earn her second long jump victory of the indoor season.

Stallman began competition on Friday for Utah where she competed in the 60-meter dash. Stallman placed third overall in the preliminary round and recorded the fifth fastest mark in Utah indoor history with a time of 7.84 seconds. Her time was also her third straight personal record. Stallman will compete in the final on Saturday morning.

Four Utes competed in the 3000-meter run and were led by freshman
Ashley Licata, who placed second overall after clocking in a time of 10:20.63. Behind Licata, sophomore
Hannah Allred notched third place with a time of 10:28.93. Sophomore
Jade Mulvey finished the race in a time of 10:31.14 to earn sixth place. Licata, Allred and Mulvey all recorded personal bests. Senior
Dana Snell rounded out the Utes in the 3000-meter run, where she placed 11
th overall with a time of 10:39.84.

Lauren McCluskey, junior
Madison Lanford and freshman
Piper Wehrli competed in the 60-meter hurdles. McCluskey finished the preliminary round in 15
th place with a time of 9.71 seconds. Lanford ran a time of 9.83 seconds to earn 19
th place overall. Wehrli placed 24
th after running a time of 10.20 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, senior
Alissa Atisme competed unattached and placed third with a time of 25.49 seconds. McCluskey finished with a time of 28.62 seconds to finish in 47
th place.

Also competing in the long jump, Stallman placed in a tie for 11
th after clearing a mark of 16 feet, 10.75 inches. Lanford jumped a mark of 15 feet, 5.50 inches to finish in 27
th place. Wehrli rounded out Utes in the long jump, finishing in 31
st place with a mark of 14 feet, 6.50 inches.
