"I am really happy with third place today," Bjertness said. "In the first run I was surprised how straight and fast the course was, but managed to control it better in the second run. Super happy to wrap up the regular college season this way and looking forward to the finals in a week and a half."
"We could not be more excited with Roni's win today, she executed two runs flawlessly," Utah head alpine coach
Jaka Korencan said. "Endre also performed really well on a flat course which is not our strength and got to the podium in a tough field. This really is a great motivation booster for upcoming NCAA's. Joergen is also peaking in both events but unfortunately smaller mistakes cost him some time in the second run. We were pleasantly surprised by Abby's slalom performance today, she really is turning into a great tech skier.
"Unfortunately we cannot be satisfied with the team performance this weekend, after a fantastic training section last week, expectations were much higher," Korencan continued. "We are skiing really well, however failed to execute as a team this weekend. Despite all that, we do have a great team of athletes traveling to the NCAA championships and I know that we can be extremely competitive."
