SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah men's tennis team will make a road trip up to Boise State (1-6) this weekend, the Utes are set to match up against the Broncos this Sunday.
The matchup against Boise State will be held at the Eagle Mountain Tennis Club with play beginning at 1:30 p.m. MST. The last time the Utes faced Boise State, they defeated the Broncos for the first time in eight years, with a final score of 5-2.
Utah Notes
Earlier in the week, the Utes traveled down south to Provo to take on Brigham Young University, defeating the Cougars with a final score of 4-2. Utah earned the early edge by taking the doubles point.
Dan Little and Joe Wolley defeated Jacob Sullivan and John Pearce, 6-3 at the No. 1 position, while
Slava Shainyan and
Santiago Sierra defeated Keaton Cullimore and Sam Tullis, 6-3 at the No. 3 spot. In singles action, Dan lLittle cruised past Jeremy Bourgeois 6-3, 6-2, at the No. 2 position. Competing at the No. 1 spot,
David Micevski cruised to a victory over Keaton Cullimore, 6-4, 7-5.
Joe Woolley then finished things off for the Utes at the No. 5 position, defeating John Pearce 6-1, 1-6, 6-2.

Boise State's men's tennis team wrapped up a two-match road trip Sunday with a 7-0 loss at the hands of the Harvard Crimson Sunday afternoon in Evanston, Ill. Pedro Platzeck and Brian Tran led Broncos winning their doubles match 6-4 at the No. 2 position defeating Harvard's Michael Peters and Jean Thirouin. The loss drops the Broncos to 1-6 overall on the season.
