First and Second Round Results
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Utah golf team completed the first and second rounds of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational Sunday at the Eisenhower Golf Club's Blue Course. The squad sits in 15th with a score of 593 (293-300), while freshmen Brandon Kida and Jack Maerki lead the way for the Utes tied for 29th in the individual standings.
Kida and Maerki posted identical first and second-round scores of 73 and 72 for an overall mark of 145. Fellow freshman Gentry Hicks tied for 85th, swinging a 153 (73-80). Junior Joe Webber placed 90th with a score of 154 (74-80) while sophomore Ben Bankhead rounded out the Ute roster tied for 96th with a mark of 156 (80-76).
The Utes begin the final round Monday with a 7:30 a.m shotgun start.
