Bobbi Silvis serves as the Assistant Director of Learning Services at the University of Utah, where she is passionate about supporting student-athletes in all aspects of their development—academic, personal, and emotional. She brings a rich background in both education and collegiate athletics to her role.
Originally from Ohio, Bobbi earned her bachelor’s degree in health and human services from the University at Buffalo, where she also competed as a softball student-athlete. She continued her academic journey at Buffalo, earning a master’s degree with dual certification in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. Following graduation, Bobbi spent five years as a classroom teacher, honing her skills in student development and individualized learning.
Bobbi transitioned back into college athletics at Utah State University, where she served as a Learning Specialist and Tutor Mentor Coordinator. In that role, she focused on academic support strategies tailored to the unique needs of student-athletes, coordinating tutor and mentor sessions, and teaching the USU 1730 course. Now at the University of Utah, Bobbi continues to support student success through personalized academic support, collaborative programming, and a deep commitment to helping student-athletes thrive both in and out of the classroom.
In her free time, Bobbi enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring national parks, attending concerts, and taking her dog, Bailey, to Bear Lake for beach days.
