Four from Utah Earn Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar Recognition

Jack Jerge, Sergio Jimenez, Gabriel Palcios, and Brandon Robison receive classroom praise
NORMAN, Okla. – A quartet of Utes have earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar recognition for the 2025-26 competitive season.
Jack Jerge, Sergio Jimenez, Gabriel Palacios, and Brandon Robison were recognized by Cobalt Golf not only for their efforts on the golf course, but their efforts towards their education, and good standing in the Salt Lake community.
Eligible athletes for the award at a minimum need to be in their sophomore year, participate in at least 50-percent of their team's competitive rounds, and have a stroke average under 76.0 while maintaining a cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2 or better. In addition, each winner needs to demonstrate high moral character and be in good standing at their school.
Jimenez had the lowest scoring average for the Utes last season, shooting 69.2, which currently sits as the lowest in program history. Palacios and Robison were right behind Jimenez, averaging 70.3 and 70.7 respectively in 2025-26. Jerge, a mid-year transfer from USC wasted no time establishing himself as part of Utah's starting five, recorded a 71.6 average to end the year.
Utah Golf is about a month and a half away from starting the 2026-27 season where they will look to Jimenez, Palacios, and Jerge for senior leadership and experience in their starting five.
