Women of Utah Close Out Day Two at Drake Relays

Kyla Martin and Lindsey Peters posted top-3 finishes in their respective races on Friday.
DES MOINES, Iowa – The Utah track & field team closed out day two of the Drake Relays on Friday inside Drake Stadium.

Utah started the day off in the 4x1600m relay led off by Mackenzie Rogers and followed by Emily Junginer, Grace Moroney and Josie Fale. The quartet would finish in 19:21.71 – which would be the third-fastest time for Utah all-time in the event.

Kyla Martin was Utah's top finisher in the university division of the 800m run, finishing third-overall with a time of 2:07.50. Meanwhile, teammate Madi Husley came in fifth after crossing the finish line at 2:08.60.

Lindsey Peters wrapped up the day on the track when she placed second-overall in the 1500m run with a mark of 4:17.27 – which was just off of her PR.

The Utah track & field team will wrap up its time in Des Moines this Saturday, April 25, with the DMR and close another weekend at America's Athletic Classic.
