SEATTLE –
Harley Daniel of the Utah track & field team didn't want to settle for a share of the 60m hurdles record after last week's performance and went on to break the school record Friday inside Dempsey Indoor at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet.
Daniel got the Women of Utah started off with a bang on the track, breaking the very school record she tied just last week in the 60m hurdles with a run of 8.49 for second in her heat and just missed out on qualifying for the finals.
Bailey Kealamakia was also in the event, posting a run of 8.99.
Megan Rose jumped teammate
Emily Martin for the second spot on the all-time list in the 60m dash after she posted another PR of 7.51 for second in her heat and seventh overall – which advanced her to the final.
Later on, in the 60m finals, Rose was just off of her PR mark set just earlier in the day running a 7.52 for sixth-overall.
Over in the 200m dash, Kealamakia was the fastest Ute to cross the finish line with a mark of 24.56 for sixth-overall. Daniel wasn't too far behind her teammate, posting a PR time of 24.76 for ninth-overall while
Ally Gomm closed out the trio of Utes in the event with a 25.19.
Erin Vringer once again had a solid showing in the 3000m race, posting a mark of 9:12.08 as the first Woman of Utah to cross the finish line for seventh-overall.

Morgan Jensen and
McKaylie Caesar wrapped up the night for Utah inside Dempsey Indoor with the 5000m race. Jensen recorded a new PR with a time of 15:58.85 to improve her mark in the all-time record book but held steady at fourth. Caesar also ran a new personal best mark of 16:14.27 and saw herself jump two spots from eighth to sixth on the all-time list at Utah. Meanwhile, former Utah All-American
Emily Venters was one of the top-11 finishers that set a new meet record with a run of 15:31.59 for 11th-overall.
Day two at the Last Chance Meet will be a little lighter for the Utes with just three events that include the mile, 400m dash and 800m run.
