SEATTLE – The Utah track & field team closed out its indoor season on Saturday at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet inside Dempsey Indoor.
The miler squad started the day for Utah with
Erin Vringer leading the crew with a run of 4:46.79 for 10th-overall – which also saw her move in the top-10 and sit at No. 6 all-time jumping ahead of teammate
Kyla Martin. Despite Vringer passing her on the all-time list, Martin also had a solid run with a new PR time of 4:47.06 to improve her mark on the all-time list at No. 7.
Grace Moroney (4:53.44) and
Anna Peters (4:45.21) closed things out for Utah in the event with Peters running in her first indoor mile.
Josefine Eriksen, who broke the school record in the 400m dash back in January, was just off of her own mark on Saturday after posting a time of 53.64.
The 4x400m relay team of
Harley Daniel,
Bailey Kealamakia,
Ally Gomm and
Josefine Eriksen teamed up to break the school record with a time of 3:36.97 - which was set just last year with Daniel and Kealamakia running the first two legs.
Utah's 800m crew finished up the day in the Emerald City with
Bri Rinn posting the fastest time from the trio of Utes (2:07.61). Running in the event for the first time, Martin registered a mark of 2:09.58 while
Millie Wilcox checked in at 2:11.60.
With the indoor season all wrapped up, the Women of Utah will get a just under a month to switch things up and begin training for the outdoor season – which is slated to begin in San Diego at the Aztec Invitational (March 21-23).
