 Offense
Quarterback Bryson Barnes made his ninth start as a Ute and had a career-highs both with 31 completions and 320 yards. It was the most completions by a Utah quarterback since Brian Johnson's 32 vs. Wyoming in 2005, and ties for 10th-most in a game in program history.
Barnes' 320 passing yards were the most by a Ute since Cameron Rising logged 415 yards vs. USC on Oct. 15, 2022.
Wide receiver Devaughn Vele had a career-high nine receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. It was Vele's third career 100-yard receiving game and second this season.
Vele's touchdown was his third of the season and his 35th game (of 47 career games played) with at least one reception.
Fellow wideout Munir McClain had six catches in the game, his most as a Ute.
Tight end Landen King reset a career-high with 63 receiving yards and tied a career-best with four catches. It included a 28-yard grab during the game, the longest of his collegiate career.
King's performance marked the 82nd game out of Utah's last 83 contests that a tight end has caught a pass.
Freshman running back Dijon Stanley made his second collegiate reception during the first quarter. It went for 11 yards and was his first catch since the Arizona State game.
Fellow running back Jaylon Glover has caught a pass in three of Utah's last four games, and six of the last eight.
Running back Ja'Quinden Jackson had a career-long 18-yard reception during the second quarter, surpassing his previous long of 11 yards at Baylor earlier this season.
For the sixth game this season, safety Sione Vaki also played on offense.
Barnes' touchdown strike to Vele was his fifth touchdown pass of the season of at least 20 yards.
McClain had a 23-yard reception during the third quarter; it was McClain's fifth reception this season of at least 20 yards.
 Defense
Defensive end Van Fillinger made a career-high eight tackles, surpassing his seven stops vs. Oregon in 2021. It included a two-yard TFL for Fillinger during the second quarter.
Cornerback Zemaiah Vaughn also had a career-best with seven tackles in the game. Vaughn had a pass breakup and a five-yard TFL on back-to-back plays in the first quarter. He now has a team-leading six PBUs on the season.
Defensive end Connor O'Toole's six tackles were a season-best, while O'Toole tied career-highs with 1.5 TFL and 1.0 sacks. It was his first game as a Ute with multiple pass breakups.
Safety Nate Ritchie surpassed his season-high with five tackles in the game, it was his most since 2020.
Defensive tackle Simote Pepa made his first start of the season and second of his career; the other came at Colorado in 2022.
Ritchie made his second start of the season and first since the USC game.
Arizona became just the fourth Utah opponent this season to score on its game-opening drive.
 Special Teams
Playing on the kickoff team, cornerback Nick Howe made his collegiate debut.
Connor O'Toole was credited his second field goal block in as many weeks. It came on a 37-yard field goal attempt for Arizona as the first half expired.
It marked the first time since 2010 (Brandon Burton vs. BYU and vs. Boise State) that Utah blocked a field goal in consecutive games.
Kicker Cole Becker made a 36-yard field goal during the third quarter. Dating back to the Cal game, Becker has made nine of his last 10 field goal attempts with a long in that time of 43 yards vs. Arizona State.
Becker also sent all three of his kickoffs for touchbacks.
