Karli Branch took second in her section of the 3000m steeplechase on Wednesday at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah sophomore Karli Branch kicked off the busy weekend for Utah track & field competing in the 3000m steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational Wednesday evening inside Cougar Athletic Stadium.

In just her second steeplechase race, Branch posted a time of 11:15.52 to take second in her section of the race. Meanwhile, her time of 11:15.52 was just a couple seconds shy of cracking the top-10 at Utah with teammate Bella Williams holding the 10th spot (11:13.94).

Competition continues tomorrow, Thursday, April 14, as Jasie York and Brooklyn James competes in the 800m run at the Bryan Clay Invitational while Bella Williams and Emily Venters competes in the 10000m invitational race at the Mt. SAC Relays (Live Results).
