OREM, Utah – The No. 19 Utah volleyball team kept it rolling against Portland State with a dominant three-set victory (25-13, 25-11, 25-20) over the Vikings in the Wolverine Classic at Utah Valley on Friday, September 6.

Utah improves to 6-0 with five of those victories being in three sets.

Against the Vikings, Utah hit .402 as a team and had three players have double-figure kills. Freshman
Zoe Weatherington had her best match as a Ute so far leading the team with 16 kills hitting .636.

Dani Drews and
Kenzie Koerber both posted double-doubles as Drews had 13 kills and 10 digs and Koerber had 12 kills with 13 digs. Koerber hit .500 for the match.

Utah built double-digit leads in all three sets behind efficient offense and strong defense. The Utes held Portland State to just a .068 hitting percentage with 21.0 blocks. They were just a block and a half from setting the program record for blocks in a three-set match set all the way back in 2002.

Setter
Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres finished the match with 39 assists. It's the second time this week she has had 39 assists in a three-set match.

Berkeley Oblad had nine kills hitting .533 with 5.0 blocks. She totaled 7.0 blocks on the day bringing her to 395.0 career blocks. When she hits her 400
th block, she will be the 13
th player in Utah program history to reach that mark.

Utah has one more match in the Wolverine Classic against the host team Utah Valley. The two in-state schools will square off on Saturday, September 7 at 5 p.m. in Orem, Utah.
