BERKELEY, Calif. - The University of Utah women's tennis team lost a tough match earlier today, falling to the Cal Bears with a score of 0-7.
In doubles, Brianna Chisholm and Jena Cheng were the only pair to record a victory for the Utes. On the No. 3 court, they were able to defeat Jasie Dunk and Alexis Nelson with a score of 7-5.
In singles, the Utes were swept by Cal, allowing the Bears to come away with the 7-0 victory. With this loss, the Utes move to an 8-6 overall record, with a record of 1-2 in Pac-12 conference play.
The Utah women's tennis team with be back in action next week, as they will return home to Salt Lake City for a match with Fresno State. The match against the Bulldogs will be held at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center, with the match set for March 23rd at 1:30 p.m.
