SALT LAKE CITY –The University of Utah men's tennis team will compete in the Gopher Invitational this weekend from No. 2-4, hosted by the University of Minnesota. This tournament will be held at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a total of 11 teams competing.
Joining the Utes at the Gopher Invitational will be Minnesota, Dartmouth, Denver, DePaul, Drake, Marquette, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin. Play will start Friday Nov. 2 at 9 am. Play will continue on Saturday Nov. 3 and Sunday Nov. 4 at 8 am.

Utah Notes
Last week, the Utah men's tennis team competed in the Gonzaga Invitational. In singles,
Chase Stoner was able to take the championship in the consolation bracket of the White Singles, defeating Marcos Zelver from Montana State.
Mathias Gavelin competed in the Blue Back Draw singles bracket. Matched up against Matteo Fortini from Portland State, Gavelin was able to come away with a 6-2 win. In doubles, Gavelin and R.J. Parker were able to card a victory in the consolation bracket in the Blue Doubles bracket, coming away with an 8-6 win against Pankin and Yoshia from Portland. In the Red Doubles consolation bracket,
Paul McCallie and Stoner fell short to Neos and Oberg from Portland, 8-7 (7-3).
