SAN FRANCISCO - Utah sophomore Nate Wunderli and senior
Gentry Hicks were named to the Pac-12 Golf All-Academic team, announced today by the conference office.
Wunderli, a first-team selection, has a 3.80 grade point average and is majoring in business administration. He recently finished in a tie for 61st at the Pac-12 Championships. Wunderli led Utah with two holes in one this season.
Hicks was an honorable mention selection. He finished in a tie for 37th at the Pac-12 championships, becoming just the fourth Utah player to register a top-40 finish in a Pac-12 Conference Championship event. Hicks is tied for 46th nationally with 134 birdies.
To be eligible for selection to the all-academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
