Salt Lake City--Â University of Utah women's tennis defeated the Wisconsin Badgers, 4-0 in their second home match of the season on Sunday.
The Utes started the match on a strong note by clinching the doubles point.
Margo Pletcher and
Brianna Turley defeated Maria Avgerinos and Melissa Pick, 6-2, while
Taylor Calton and
Jena Cheng recorded a win over Kelsey Grambeau and Christina Zordani by the same score.
In singles competition, three Utes recorded wins to secure the victory for Utah. Calton defeated  Christina Zordani, 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 5 spot while Pletcher defeated Maria Avgerinos in the No. 1 spot and Petrovic defeated Michelle Linden in the No. 3 spot by the same score.
Jena Cheng came back from behind to defeat Kendall Kirsch in the first set and was leading 5-0 in the second when the match was abandoned.

Mat Iandolo said, "Today was a great performance for us winning our sixth match in a row against a Big 10 opponent. It shows where this program has come from and where it's going. We look forward to competing in Alabama in the prestigious Blue Gray tournament."
The Utes travel to Montgomery, Ala. for the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic on Feb. 24-25. The Utes are one of only eight women's teams selected to participate.
The Utes kick off Pac-12 play at Arizona State on March 10 at 1:30 p.m. and at Arizona on March 11 at 12:00 p.m. They will return to the Eccles Tennis Center on March 13 to face North Carolina State at 5:00 p.m.
