The Utes dominated doubles competition, as
Taylor Calton and
Jena Cheng defeated Rachana Bhat and Andrea LeBlanc, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot.
Whitney Turley and
Alexia Petrovic also recorded a win over Cassie Chung and Diana Wong, 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.Â

In singles competition, the Utes picked up multiple hard-fought wins. Petrovic recorded a dominant win over Ruth Copas, 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot and Cheng defeated Diana Wong, 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 5 spot. Pletcher also recorded a hard-fought win over Ludivine Burguiere, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot while
Brianna Turley fought back for a victory over Andrea LeBlanc, 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 in the No. 2 spot.Â

 "It was very high energy for our first home match," head coach
Mat Iandolo said "Getting the doubles point started off the match on a very positive note. We managed our nerves well in singles which allowed us to pull out 4 singles matches. We can use this as a springboard into the coming matches."Â
