LAWRENCE, Kansas - Due to inclement weather, all on-track activity at the NCAA Track West Preliminary Championships was postponed on the first day of competition, forcing the Utah track and field team to wait until Friday to begin the meet.
Scheduled to compete today was freshman Andrea Chavez and sophomore Sarah Feeny in the 1,500, senior Ali Eisenbeiss in the 800 and freshman Chrissy Glasmann in the javelin.
Instead of a first round and a quarterfinal race, there will only be one race in the 1,500 and 800 with the delay. The 800 will compete at 11:00 a.m. CT on Friday, May 27 and the 1,500 will be run on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The women's javelin will compete at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
