            DENVER, Colo. - Utah men's tennis            picked up a victory this afternoon over Penn at Stapleton Tennis Pavilion,            5-2.        
                    
             Utah started the match with a victory at the No. 3 doubles position. Egbert Weverink and Freddie McGeehan            defeated Nicholai Westergaard and Kyle Mautner 6-3, but the doubles point was won by            Penn. The Quakers captured the matches at No. 1 and No. 2                             
             Parker McGuiness beat            Westergaard 6-3, 6-1 to tie up the match at the No. 5 singles spot, 6-3, 6-1 to even            the match, 1-1. The Utes then jumped out to a 4-1 lead as Dan Little claimed victory            over Vim De Alwis 6-3, 6-2, Matt            Cowley won at the No. 1 spot 6-3, 6-2 over Kyle Mautner and Weverink went to three            sets before coming out on top against Matt Nardella 4-6, 6-3,            6-4.                             
             David Micevski fell to            Josh Pompan but the match had already been won by Utah. McGeehan went to three sets but            finished with a win over Blaine Willenborg 6-3, 6-7 (7-4), 10-4 to seal the match at            5-2.                             
             Head coach Roeland Brateanu said, "I'm very proud of the team today to bounce back and            beat a very tough Penn squad."                             
             The Utes return to Salt Lake City on Mar. 18 to face UNLV.
