UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - The Utah golf team wrapped up action at the Redhawk Invitational at the Chambers Bay Golf Club Tuesday. A three-round score of 914 (296-304-314) earned the squad eighth place while junior Jonathon Thomas continued to lead the Utes in player standings.
After identical first and second rounds of 74, Thomas posted a 77 in the third to finish with a 225 and tied for 24th. Junior Brandon Kida finished tied for 34th with a mark of 228 (74-76-78), while Justin Mortensen swung a 231 (74-78-79) to tie for 39th. Junior Steven Croft tied for 42nd and junior Max McGrail tied for 53rd.
The Utes return to action next week for their final regular-season tournament at the UCSB Ogio Intercollegiate at the Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara, Calif.
