SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah golf team travels to Eugene, Ore., for the Duck Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon, March 23-24. Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
The Course
The Duck Invitational will be held at the par-72, 7,020-yard Eugene Country Club.
Format
The first round and second round of 36 holes will be played Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PT. The final 18 holes will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT on Tuesday.
The Field
Fifteen schools and 80 golfers will be appearing at the Duck Invitational along with the Utes including several Pac-12 Conference foes. The field is comprised of host Oregon, Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington, as well as Fresno State, Gonzaga, Kansas State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Pacific, San Diego, San Diego State, San Jose State and UC Riverside.
Last Time Out
Utah wrapped up the Border Olympics last weekend at the Laredo Country Club. The Utes tallied a three-round total of 899 to finish in 17th place.
Junior Jonathon Thomas finished first in Utah's lineup with a six-over-par mark of 222 (73-74-75) to tie for 50th. Junior Jose Pelayo tied for 63rd with an eight-over 224 (73-75-76), while junior Max McGrail swung a 227 (74-78-75) to tie for 72nd. Juniors Brandon Kida and Steven Croft round out the Ute lineup, tying for 80th and placing 97th, respectively.
