Greensboro, N.C. - The Utah men's golf team returns to action this Sunday and Monday, Oct. 25-26, competing at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C. The two-day, 54-hole event will be hosted by the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
The tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,245-yard Grandover Resort. The teams will play the first two rounds on Sunday followed by the final 18 holes on Monday. The event will be a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET on both days.
The Utes are coming off fourth and seventh place finishes at the OGIO Utah Invitational. Utah's A-team finished the three-round event with a score of 3-under par (285-281-283=849), while the B-team carded a 9-over par (285-281-295=861).
Freshman Trent Hill had an outstanding tournament as he led the way for Utah's B-team and also placed the highest among all Utah golfers. Hill finished in second place, carding a score of 10-under par, 203 (67-68-68), becoming the first Ute to card at least a score of 10-under par in a 54-hole event since Steve Broker at the Ron Moore Invitational back on March 20, 2007.
Along with Utah and UNCG, other teams competing in the Bridgestone Collegiate include Chattanooga, Davidson, Georgia State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Mercer, Northwestern, North Carolina, Purdue, South Alabama, VCU, and Virginia Tech.
