SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah prepares for the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate, hosted by Washington State University at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club for the sixth-consecutive year, Monday and Tuesday. It will be the Utes' inaugural appearance at the tournament. Live scoring will be available here.
Format
The tournament will be held Sept. 29-30, with 36 holes played Monday and the final 18 holes played Tuesday. A shotgun start will begin at 8:30 a.m. both Monday and Tuesday.
The Field
Utah will compete against seven Pac-12 Conference foes. Including, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Washington, and host Washington State, as well as Boise State and Idaho for a 10-team field.
Last Time Out
The Utes captured a 12th-place finish with a four-over-par score of 909 (296-311-302) at the Husky Invitational last week in Bremerton, Wash. Junior Brandon Kida earned Utah's best finish in player standings with a five-over-par mark of 221 (72-76-73).
Juniors Gentry Hicks and Max McGrail each posted scores of 230 to tie for 51st. Junior Jonathon Thomas finished tied for 62nd with a three-round total of 233 (76-79-78), while junior Brent Pollock round out Utah's roster in 68th after swinging his tournament low in the third round.
In individual standings, junior Jose Pelayo finished in 28th place with a 225 (78-71-76). Not far behind was junior Steven Croft in 30th place with a mark of 226 (78-72-76). Senior Jack Maerki posted his lowest score in the third round to tie for 37th.
