LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The University of Utah golf team slid to 12th place after the second day of play at the Pac-12 Conference Championship at the Los Angeles Country Club. Sophomore Brandon Kida posted the Utes' best round of the day with a six-over 76.
Junior Daniel Engle enters Wednesday's final round tied for 32nd in the individual standings at eleven-over 221 (67-74-80). Kida is a just a shot behind at 222 (72-74-76). Both can get back into the top 25 with a good showing in Wednesday's final round.
Junior Benjamin Bankhead stands at 225 (76-72-77), while junior Casey Halliday brought his three-round total to 227 (72-75-80). Sophomore Gentry Hicks and freshman Jonathon Thomas both posted third-round 80s as well and enter the final round with scores of 229 (73-76-80) and 230 (74-76-80) respectively.
Utah entered the third round in fifth place.
The final round of play will begin Wednesday at 8:00 am PST.
