Susannah Hurst Added to Track & Field West Preliminary

AUSTIN, Texas - True freshman Susannah Hurst has been added to the women's 5,000 meter field at the NCAA West Preliminary, the Utah track and field team learned earlier this week. Hurst was added after a medical scratch was declared on. She missed the original qualifying field by .40 seconds.
"It doesn't matter how you get in," said Utah head coach Kyle Kepler. "Once you're there you have the same chance everyone else has to advance. It's exciting to get another freshman in the meet to gain the experience of racing against the best runners in the country."
