STANFORD, Calif. - The University of Utah men's golf team improved to a 16th-place finish at the U.S. Intercollegiate Sunday at the Stanford Golf Course. Utah compiled a final score of 908 (304-313-291), while sophomore Daniel Engle led the Utes in individual standings, tying for 56th with a mark of 225 (75-78-72).
Freshman Brandon Kida tied for 71st after posting a third-round score of 70 to finish at 230 (79-81-70) overall. Sophomore Ben Bankhead was not far behind, tallying a final mark of 231 (83-74-74) to tie for 77th. Freshmen Myles Sullivan and Gentry Hicks round out the Ute roster. Sullivan tied for 81st with a score of 234 (74-80-80), while Hicks posted a mark of 239 (76-88-75) to tie for 88th.
The Utes return to action for their final regular-season tournament at the Aggie Invitational, April 20-21.
