O'AHU, Hawaii - The University of Utah men's golf team currently sits in 17th after the first round of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate at the Turtle Bay Resort's 7,218 yard, par-72 Arnold Palmer Course. The squad posted a score of 309, while freshman Gentry Hicks led the Utes in individual standings.
Hicks tied for 49th with a score of 74, while junior Joe Webber and freshman Brandon Kida both tied for 67th with marks of 76. Freshman Myles Sullivan was next to finish on the Ute roster, swinging a 79 to tie for 84th, while Daniel Engle tied for 96th with a mark of 81.
The Utes return to the Arnold Palmer Course Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Live stats are available at golfstat.com.
