SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the Wyoming Cowboy Classic Tuesday at the Talking Stick Golf Club, posting their lowest team score of the season. The Utes posted their season-best round score of 284 during the final round for a finish of 870 (292-294-284) to tie for 15th. Senior Derek Adams maintained his top-20 finish with a two-over-par score of 212 (70-72-70), tying for 20th.
Senior Jeff Kitches posted a stellar third-round score of 70, even with par, to finish the tournament tied for 45th with a mark of 218 (75-73-70). Freshman Ben Bankhead also swung a 218 (75-73-70) and tied for 45th, while senior Mike Branca tied for 75th with a score of 223 (75-75-73). Senior Chase Hite completed the Cowboy Classic tied for 91st with a mark of 227 (79-74-74).
Utah competes in its final regular-season tournament at the Ping Cougar Classic in Provo, Utah. The tournament will take place April 15-16 at the Riverside Country Club.
