COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Utah golf team finished the two-day Falcon Invitational tied for 17th with an overall score of 923 (308-309-306). Derek Adams (49th place) and Jeff Kitches (tied for 61st place) led the Utes with scores of 225 and 227, respectively.
Adams shot a nine-over-par (72-79-74), while Kitches finished at 11-over-par (75-76-76). Other Ute finishers were individual player Ben Bankhead (83rd, 233), Cody Huges (95th, 237), Mike Branca (98th, 239), Chase Hite (101st, 245)
Colorado Springs was the first-place team with a final score of 861, three-under-par.
The Utes will return to action next week, Sept. 27-28, for the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo.
