Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott:
"We didn't get the ball to Katie enough when she was on the floor. Haylie really took the wrong shots in the first half and her ankle really isn't 100%. Morgan went to work in the second half Kalee had a huge three. That was one of those games with injuries and foul trouble, we really didn't have five on the floor. We had a makeshift lineup in the first half and we couldn't run anything with that lineup. But we survived when everything certainly didn't go our way."
"We had to go to the bench more because of foul trouble and injury. Josi was able to give us some good minutes. We have had some bad starts and it would be nice if we could be more solid in the first minutes. Morgan really took over in the second half and we really needed to have that, without Katie and with Haylee struggling we don't have scorers."
"It wasn't good energy early. I hope it isn't a function of the schedule. It's hard to come out and understand why you seem lethargic and tired and that is where our rebounding struggles came from."
Guard Morgan Warburton:
"It is tougher to play everyone a second time around. Everyone has a better idea of what you're going to do and what you're all about. And we have to figure out ways to challenge each other and challenge ourselves - we can't just be comfortable with where we are we have to keep going hard."
Wyoming Head Coach Joe Legerski:
"I thought the whole second half we played from behind, so I thought we played well. We kept the game close, but for the most part were down 6-8 points from about the 8-10 minute mark. We just couldn't make enough plays to make a difference here and yet when you look at the stat sheet I thought Emma Langford and Megan McGuffy played extremely well for us. They made a lot of plays for us tonight and gave us an opportunity to only be a couple possessions down."
"I was pleased with the effort today, this is a very difficult place to play, I think in 36 years of basketball Wyoming has won here twice. So going in the odds are stacked against you and Utah has a tremendous winning streak going, they play extremely well at home, I thought Warburton and Whipple once again really stepped up and it was a huge difference in the ball game."
