COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The University of Utah golf team placed 14th in the overall team standings of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational this weekend on the blue course of the Eisenhower Golf Club. The Utes totaled 907 strokes in the final standings, adding a score of 313 on Sunday to their total of 594 on the par-72, 7,301-yard course.

Leading the Utes was freshman Joe Webber, who tied for 45th in the individual final standings. Webber shot a 78 in the final round and combined with Saturday's total of 146 for a final total of eight-over-par 224. Sophomore Chase Hite tied for 49th with a final score of 225, a nine-over-par total.

Senior Chance Cota tied for 71st place with a combined score of 231, featuring a total of 152 yesterday with a 79 in the final round. Jeff Kitchens also added a final-round 79 and ended the tournament with a final score of 232 for 77th place. Rounding out the Ute effort was Kaleb Mahanes, who came into the clubhouse with a final score of 236, placing in a tie for 85th overall.

Colorado State placed first in the team standings with a score of 837. Bryce Hanstad and Riley Arp finished first and second in the individual standings for the Rams with final totals of 205 and 208, respectively.

The Utes travel to the University of Denver Sept. 15-16 for the Ron Moore Invitational.
