SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The University of Utah ended play Monday at the Cowboy Classic tied with the University of Idaho for third place at even par. Grand Canyon State leads the tournament at 12-under, and UC Davis is second at eight-under.
Chris Gresh led Utah with rounds of 67 and 70 Monday. Gresh sits at three-under par and tied for sixth place. Nic Larson carded rounds of 68 and 72 to finish tied for 21st at even par. Nick Carter, recently added to Utah's tournament roster after Dustin Pimm's departure, turned in rounds of 74 and 67 to finish at one-over-par and tied for 26th place.
Nate Pistacchio of UC Davis and Paul Peterson of Oregon State are tied for the individual lead at six-under-par.
Play concludes with an 18-hole round Tuesday.
