KAUAI, Hawaii- The University of Utah golf team completed the second round of the 2008 Kauai Collegiate Invite Tuesday in Kauai, Hawaii. The Utes moved up in the team standings and are tied for fourth-place with a score of 569 (294, 275) strokes at one-over-par.
Chance Cota (San Diego, Calif.) is tied for third-place shooting a score of 136 (69, 67) strokes at six-under-par. Freshman Kaleb Mahanes (Erie, Colo.) is tied for 11th place with a second-day score of 140 (74, 66) strokes, two-under-par.
Sophomore Chase Hite (Tuscon, Ariz.) shot a second round score of 71 for a combined two-round total of 146, tied for 37th place, four-over-par. Derek Adams (Lake Havasu, Ariz.) also had a second round score of 71. Adams ended the second day tied for 43rd place at five-over-par with a score of 147 (76, 71).
Sophomore Jeff Kitches (Salt Lake City) is tied for 62nd place after score of 153 (74, 79) after the second round.
