COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Unviersity of Utah men's tennis team (72) finished out the weekend on a high note with a 7-0 domination over Air Force on Saturday.

In doubles play, Zach Ganger and Miron Mann got the team off to a good start. The Ute duo faced Robby Alexander and Ryan White for a clean 8-0 win over the Falcons. Timmy Allin and Wes Hancock finalized the doubles point after an 8-5 win over Keith Cronican and James Tomlin at the No. 3 slot. Jason Smits and Othman Zerouali-Ouariti were defeated by Brett Rodgers and Austin Francis 8-6 at the No. 2 slot.

The Utes got back into their groove in singles play on Saturday. Ganger defeated Robby Alexander 6-4, 6-2 at the top spot to get the Utes started. Allin faced James Tomlin at the No. 5 slot for a 6-1, 6-0 win over the Falcon.

Hancock finished up next at the No. 2 slot where he faced Brett Rodgers. The Ute took the first set 6-3 and didn't let Rodgers win another game after that. Hancock took the match 6-3, 6-0 over the Falcon. Smits represented the Utes at the No. 4 slot battling Austin Francis from Air Force. Smits smashed a 6-3, 6-1 win over Francis to advance the Utes to 5-0.

Zerouali-Ouariti faced Ryan White at the No. 3 slot for a straight-set win ending in the Ute's favor (6-2, 6-4). The last one to finish up was Amit Maharaj at the No. 6 slot. The Ute faced Greg Ferry from the Falcons for a 6-3, 6-4 win, giving Utah the 7-0 sweep. The Utes are now 2-3 in conference play.
