PROVO, Utah - Frosty temperatures and playing on his archrival's home course couldn't stop University of Utah junior Dustin Pimm Friday, as he finished the day at seven-under-par, tied for second place. Brigham Young's Jake Ellison leads all golfers at 11-under-par. The team sits in sixth place at two-over-par.
"Dustin played really well today," head coach Randall McCracken said. "Hopefully tomorrow the rest of the team can kick it into gear and help us climb up the standings."
Steven Broker also performed well for the Utes, carding rounds of 68 and 72 to complete Friday's rounds at four-under par.
Play concludes with Saturday's final round.
