SALT LAKE CITY -- Sophomore Dustin Pimm of the University of Utah men's golf team begins his quest to reach the NCAA Men's Golf Championships at the Tucson National Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. Thursday.
Pimm tees off at 1:23 p.m. PDT in the NCAA Men's Golf West Region Championships. He is one of six individuals playing in the regional championships. The top-10 teams and two individuals advance to the 109th NCAA Championships, May 31-June 3, at the Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore.
Pimm led the Utes at the recent Mountain West Conference Championships by finishing tied for sixth with a two-over-par 218. Pimm carded the lowest round of the tournament in the second round with a six-under-par 66. Pimm was named to the 2006 all-MWC team.
