GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Utah Sophomore Dustin Pimm scored a one-over 73 in the final round of the 2006 Ron Moore Invitational to finish with a 10-under 206. Pimm tied for seventh overall. As a team, Utah slipped four places in the final round after scoring a 296, to finish in eighth with a three-round score of 856 (-8).
Sophomore Chris Gresh scored a two-over 74 in the final round to finish at an even-par 216. Gresh tied for 34th overall. Freshman Mike Branca slipped in the final round, shooting a four-over 76 after carding a 71 in the first two rounds, to finish with a two-over 218. Branca finished tied for 46th.
Freshman Chance Cota finished with a four-over 220 overall, after scoring a one-over 73 in the final round to finish tied for 57th. Senior Nick Micek rounded out the competitors for Utah with a five-over 77 in the final round. Micek carded a seven-over 223 to finish tied for 76th overall.
The Utes take a break before competing in the Cowboy Classic April 10-11 at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
