SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Dustin Pimm shot a seven-over 79 in the first round of competition at the 2006 Callaway Golf Invitational. Pimm finished tied for 52nd overall. The Utes shot a score of 321 in the first round to finish the day in 15th. The second round was cancelled due to darkness and will be completed tomorrow before the start of the third round.
Sophomore Chris Gresh finished the day with an eight-over 80 to finish tied for 59th overall. Freshman Mike Branca and senior Nick Micek finished tied for 68th after shooting a nine-over 81 in the first round. Freshman Chance Cota rounds out the competitors for the Utes after shooting a 13-over 85 to finish tied for 77th.
